The Twisting Bridge…
A twisting bridge to span Bristol’s Floating Harbour is the centrepiece of £5M-worth of new infrastructure planned by a local developer Cubex.
Working with Bristol based Architects - The Bush Consultancy, The White Balance were commissioned for two cgi's to aid the planning proposal submitted summer 2014.
Designed for pedestrians and cyclists, the bridge would be constructed in late spring next year, if the planning application is approved by Bristol City Council.
The timber-decked structure, incorporating steel balustrades and supporting columns were a focus for the visuals, demonstrating the choice of materials and engineering proposed.
The 90-metre long bridge will form a twisting, sloping route across the harbour, avoiding the need for steps and lifts.
Developer Cubex owns Finzels Reach, a mixture of office, leisure, and residential units, The White Balance are delighted to be part of the team moving forward with this cutting edge development for Bristol.
